Timothy Da-Shon Hayes, Jr. was born on February 28, 1991, to Dr. Gina M. Taylor and Timothy D. Hayes in Kansas City, MO. Raised and educated in the Kansas City Public School District, he graduated from Paseo Academy School of the Performing Arts in 2009. He furthered his education at the historic American Baptist College in Nashville, TN, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Bible & Theological Studies in December 2015.
After years of searching for his identity, Pastor Hayes answered the divine call to ministry in his mother’s kitchen. In December 2011, he received his License to Preach at Greater New Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Kansas City, KS. His journey in ministry took him to Nashville, TN, where he served as Youth and College Minister at Kayne Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, and later to Murfreesboro, TN, as Youth Minister at the historic Allen Chapel AME Church.
In November 2015, Pastor Hayes followed God’s leading to establish the 24 Hour Faith Training Center in Kansas City, MO. The church operates under the motto:
"We do not have church; we do it."
With a commitment to justice and community impact, Pastor Hayes has led the church in developing cutting-edge ministries that address the needs of the Kansas City area. A gifted writer, Pastor Hayes has authored three books:
Don’t Snap, God Has Your Back(2018), an Amazon #1 bestseller.
Tim’s Four T’s: Take Time To Think(2020), which sold over 300 copies in its first month and inspired readers to bring their ideas to life.
In the Process of Rebuilding My Life(2023), offering encouragement to those on their own journeys of restoration.
In addition to his ministry, Pastor Hayes has excelled as a small business owner:
In 2017, he founded God Grow We Mow, selling the company in 2020 for eight times his initial investment.
In 2018, he established24 Hour Faith Moving Company, which generated over $400,000 in annual revenue by 2020 and continues to grow.
In 2019, he opened Venue 10901, one of Kansas City’s most sought-after event venues.
In 2020, he launched Kansas City’s first rage room, grossing nearly $200,000 in its first two years.
In 2022, he opened the restaurant What’s on Your Plate, quickly expanding to a second location within three months.
While Pastor Hayes has transitioned from preaching funerals to becoming known for his famous chicken wings, his greatest joys are personal and spiritual. He celebrated the birth of his son, King Karter Hayes, on June 6, 2019, and remains a devoted fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Above all, Pastor Hayes’s deepest passion is his love for Jesus Christ.
His ministry is a testament to being a Chosen Vessel, Called by God, Used by the Holy Spirit, and Empowered by Jesus Christ. His mission is to draw men, women, and children into a transformative relationship with the Almighty God.
